Nick joined the Greig & Stephenson team as a Senior Architect in 2021. Based in Manchester, they are ideally located to assist in serving our jobs across the UK.

Nick is interested in the transformative effect of architecture and how a considered and site-specific approach can improve people’s experience and enjoyment of the built environment. Nick is particularly interested in social issues regarding inclusion and equality, while ensuring a shrewd approach to managing a client’s investment.

This is shown through Nick’s approach to developing strong team relationships to foster collaboration and consensus for working towards common goals. Their experience is varied across sectors with a re-occurring theme of the adaptive reuse of existing and historic sites. Nick is listed on the RIBA conservation register as a Chartered Conservation Architect.

In the role of Senior Architect, they are currently leading the Levelling Up Fund regeneration projects at Huddersfield Open Market (Grade II*) and Whitechapel Road Market. Both projects have been developed with care and attention to historic context and will provide significant enhancements to the existing markets. The areas surrounding the site will benefit from the regenerative effect of the work to the markets brining a wider benefit to the public.

Outside of work, Nick is a keen road cyclist and likes to make most the countryside across the Pennines and Cheshire.
