Thierry Allano

Thierry has been with Greig & Stephenson since 1994, assuming the role of joint director in 2018. His extensive experience includes involvement in numerous retail, shopping centers, and market schemes, both within the UK and overseas. Additionally, Thierry has a strong portfolio of residential projects, ranging from mixed-use schemes to multi-unit buildings. 

Following winning the RIBA competition for the regeneration of Borough Market in 1996, Thierry has been predominantly involved in GSA’s varied and extensive portfolio of markets schemes, both completed and ongoing. 

With 25+ years of experience in markets and retail, Thierry combines expertise and design acumen for comprehensive design strategies. In 2018, he completed a food hall within the reconverted St Mark’s Church (Grade I listed building) in Mayfair for Mercato Metropolitano and more recently, he finished a 2000sqm market hall in the suburb of Paris.

A big part of Greig & Stephenson’s identity lies within the architectural drawings which Thierry excels at and regularly informs our design process. 

He is passionate about sports and has run numerous marathons and regularly plays tennis (occasionally teaching the team).
